Dear friends of Community Development  NGO, Youth Exchanges without Borders, and all participants,

We started the day with an introduction to the topic of globalization, setting the stage for the week’s thematic focus. Through interactive workshops and group discussions, participants explored how globalization affects different aspects of daily life, from local economies to cultural identity. The morning sessions sparked thoughtful conversations and allowed the Armenian and Swiss participants to exchange perspectives and personal experiences.

In the afternoon, we shifted our focus to Armenia’s rich cultural heritage with a field trip to two remarkable sites: Noravank Monastery is located in a dramatic red rock canyon, this 13th-century monastery is renowned for its ornate stonework and stunning natural backdrop. Once an important spiritual center, Noravank offered participants a deeper understanding of Armenia's religious and architectural history.

The Areni-1 Cave is an archaeological site that  is home to the oldest known leather shoe in the world (dating back over 5,500 years) and evidence of early winemaking.

Tonight, we celebrate Armenian Night — a  joyful evening filled with traditional music, dancing, and cuisine. Participants will get the chance to learn Armenian folk dances and experience the warmth of local hospitality firsthand.
